Learning Objective: Faculty wished to create a virtual virology laboratory, showing the students procedures by film so they are not exposed to biological laboratory hazards. Three ten minute clips were used to walk through the procedures and then streamed for the students to view.

Pedagogical Considerations

By watching the procedure online, students will not have to actually perform the procedure themselves, thus preventing them from being exposed to biological hazards. This on demand presentation allows students to view it at their leisure.
